Crazy raw hard core
Each of the Insania album was
announced by a 7“ EP and now, shortly before the release of their
third album there is no exception. This 4-track EP was co-released by
two underground label. This is the first record with the new bass
player Klíma and I must admit, that he fits in the band perfectly and
the sound is no worse than we´ve been used to.
The opener is "My Astral Brothers". It´s a fast song with a very sharp
and melodic vocals at a time. Although a new song, it is still in old
Insania spirit, it means in the framework of their authentic style.
The second "Hush Now - Sunny Night" is a bit slower, somehow more
peppery and indeed more „astral“. The chorus is ingenious and one has
to love this song just because of it.
The B-side kick us by such a strong hard core which Insania had not
performed even in their early years. When listening to "...Then We Say:
Die" I cannot believe my ears and I am very pleased that guys know
very well where they belong to. The lyrics are also pure hard core
ones. The EP is ended by melancholic and the slowest song "Pray On My
Side!". This one is pretty monotonous and maybe even little boring.
But this is all one can criticize…
Fans of mystic - astral hard core can be satisfied, Insania is back
and there is nothing to be disappointed about.
